Parkinson's: Let there be Light


A new treatment is restoring smell, sleep and other things we take for granted.

In the Australian newspaper (Oct 26-27, 2019) it was reported that lasers have been used to help patients suffering from Parkinson's Disease. It was a timely article as the lead researchers, Dr Ann Liebert and Dr Brian Bicknell presented their research studies to the attendees of the first Photobiomodulation Symposium in Melbourne.

"We know that infrared light can reduce Parkinson's symptoms and offer protection to brain cells, So, we wanted to test if it could modulate the gut's microbiome as well." Dr Liebert said. For the full article go to The Australian.
